Why Competitions?
Participating in competitions helps set aspirational goals and make steady progress towards distinguishing oneself in the competitive landscape of college admissions.
Learning is emphasized more than winning.
Leap Ahead Academics has partnered with international contests such as Math Kangaroo, Math Olympiad and Math League to become the official local testing center
Information & coaching for other school hosted competitions is also provided.
Math Kangaroo
Contest March 16 2018
Registration October 1 to December 31 '17
Grades: 1 to 10
Math Kangaroo is an international competition offered in dozens of countries around the world. In US over 20.000 students participate every year.
Each student receives a t-shirt, a certificate of participation, and a gift in addition to a competition booklet and a pencil on the test day.
Competition questions are age appropriate, interesting and challenging

Continental Math League (CML)

Motivates students to become better problem-solvers in multiple disciplines through national level participation and recognition - In its 35th year
To embark on the journey towards problem solving approaches
3 monthly tests from January to March

Math Olympiad (MOEMS)

Math Olympiad for Elementary & Middle Schools (MOEMS) is oriented towards strategy based problem solving which enables students to learn advanced concepts with a simplified approach.
Two levels - Level E for Grades 4 to 6 & Level M for Grades 6 to 8
Open to all Grades 4 to 8 students registered in our classes (if their school does not offer CML)

Other Competitions
North South Foundation (NSF)
NSF is a non-profit organization that offers need based scholarships to poor children in India.
NSF offers challenging competitions for South Asian kids in the US to support the cause. Registration will open from January 2018 for various competitions including Spelling Bee, Math Bee, Science Bee and Public Speaking.
Those who are passionate in supporting the charitable cause mentioned above may register to participate at our location (2/3rds of the fee collected go towards the cause).
